The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.
Due to continued growth and success, our client is seeking to recruit a full-time, permanent, multi-skilled and experienced Fire and Security Engineer. The successful candidate will be expected to operate to the highest standards of quality workmanship in line with our NSI Nacoss Gold, NSI Fire Gold, and BAFE certification, and latest FIA and BSI standards and codes of practice. Whilst a high percentage of the clients are based in the Midlands area, additional Nationwide coverage will be required. Normal working hours are Monday to Friday 8.00 β 4.00 pm, 37.5 hours per week. Please note there is an on-call rota for emergencies with double time paid.
Key responsibilities:
- Installation of a variety of fire systems and security, access control, intruder and CCTV systems.
- Service maintenance, fault finding and repair of fire systems, and security, access control, intruder and CCTV systems, to a high level of workmanship, adhering to the latest FIA and BSI standards and codes of practice.
- Respond promptly to out of hours call-outs, on a scheduled four-week rota basis.
- Complete all documentation fully and accurately.
- Act professionally at all times when representing Currant Live (driving, uniform, presentation of ID, communications with customer on site and members of the public).
- Inform Head office of all customer feedback, so they may be responded to by management in a timely manner.
- Follow all site specific rules and requirements including, but not limited to, security, confidentiality, information security, environmental, health and safety, smoking, parking etc.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- A minimum of two years experience working within the electronic security installation and service industry, preferably with an NSI or equivalent accredited company.
- Experienced in installation, servicing, fault finding, repairing of fire, security, access control, intruder and CCTV systems. (Gates would be also be advantageous).
- Formal certification relevant to the electronic security industry.
- Excellent communication and client focus - highly experienced in all aspects of customer care.
- Strong team player, with ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team, friendly, approachable with a can-do attitude. Hardworking, reliable, conscientious, presentable, punctual, organised, methodical and focused.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to spot errors and question information received.
- Passion for development, with a drive to further skills and learn new technologies. Adaptable to changes in the industry.
Certification:
- Formal certification relevant to the Electronic security and Fire industry (FIA level three certification would be advantageous or willingness to undertake training).
- A valid Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS card) or Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS card).
- Gallagher Security training to either Access Technician or Access Engineer level (or willingness to work towards certification).
- A satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
- A Powered Access Licence (IPAF licence), or willingness to undertake training.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
- Full UK clean Driving licence.
