My Client is looking for a Maintenance Planner to join their team.
Scope of Position
- Work with key individuals to forecast, schedule resources, and book downtime for PM activities.
- Analyse work centre performance data and predict trends for servicing needs.
- Enter data into the system or database and develop PM plans for equipment.
- Work with departments to ensure sufficient spares are available. Order parts if and when needed.
- Ensure the system or database is updated to include all required info.
- Develop/setup a PM schedule for new and existing machines.
- Send out requests for PM and order spare parts for any outstanding work found during the PM.
- Prepare the downtime report for the defined period and review with PM team members.
- Ensure PMs are completed on time and reschedule if or when needed.
- Create a PM list and order critical spare parts for any new machines or equipment prior to first use.
- Regularly distribute the PM report to key individuals at the interval established by leadership.
- Work closely with MRO buying to ensure timely delivery of key parts and maintaining the stock room.
- Create and update stock tooling drawings as required.
- Establish and maintain suitable inventory levels for spare parts.
- Create spare part list and organise by machines in order easy to track where parts are being used most.
- Analyse daily stock movement and establish visuals for min and max stock quantities.
- Assist the PM team as needed with data collection to further improve key metrics.
- Comply with all standards, regulations, and policies.
- Create asset lists and associate parts to assets by working with all stakeholders.
- Assist with the implementation of a CMMS system and see the project through to completion.
- Support with training individuals on how to perform TPM & PM activities.
- Support maintenance on completing PMs in the event of low resources being available.
- Support and practice KAIZEN principles and participate in related activities (GEAR).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
- Adopt and practice Kaizen Principles, Concepts and participate in Gear activities.
- Follow all general, departmental and position procedures where applicable as indicated in the level III Procedure manual.
- Work in compliance and conform to all current customers and or government standards where applicable (Example: ISO 9001 & IATF 16949 etc.).
- Work in a safe manner at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Areas of Authority
- Ensure the Areas of the Business Plan are met in accordance with the framework of the company.
- Follow company procedures and policies as stated in the employees handbook.
- Stop any process where safety or quality issues are identified.
Basic Requirements
- Five years of equivalent experience and related education or an appropriate blend.
- Mechanically inclined and knowledgeable with technical terms, machine components and definitions.
- Previous experience working in or with maintenance and tool room departments.
- Knowledgeable in PowerBI, MVP or other CMMS Software.
- Familiarity with SOLIDWORKS / CAD would be an asset.
- Good knowledge of production reporting systems.
- Good technical report writing abilities and communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving techniques and methods.
- Computer literacy and a sound knowledge in MS-Office applications and Outlook would be an asset, most critically Excel and PowerPoint for data manipulation.
- Ability to successfully interact with all levels of employees in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to read, write and speak in English.
- Equivalent of GCSE Grade C / 4 formal education.
- Understanding of IATF16949 requirements and procedures would be an asset.
40 hours per week Monday-Friday. On site. 8am-4.30pm, hour break. No working from home.
