About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Centre Testing & Commissioning Manager to support the delivery, testing, commissioning and acceptance of overseas data centre projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing on-site testing activities, coordinating vendors and third‑party testing organisations, reviewing testing documentation, identifying technical and quality risks, and ensuring that testing and acceptance activities are completed in accordance with project requirements, technical standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate testing activities at overseas data centre project sites.
  • Coordinate vendors, contractors and third‑party testing organisations to ensure testing activities are delivered effectively.
  • Review and monitor testing plans, procedures and test scripts to ensure full compliance with technical requirements and contractual obligations.
  • Monitor testing progress and ensure all required testing activities are completed on schedule.
  • Identify, elevate and support the resolution of on‑site technical issues and risks.
  • Ensure testing activities comply with relevant safety, quality and client requirements.
  • Support the successful completion of project testing, commissioning and handover activities.
  • Factory Acceptance & Quality Control
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for critical equipment and systems.
  • Conduct inspections against approved checklists and project requirements.
  • Review key quality control points, including electrical safety, structural integrity, thermal management and equipment performance.
  • Conduct site quality inspections during project implementation and identify potential risks at an early stage.
  • Track corrective actions through to completion.
  • Review supplier technical documentation, including BOMs, drawings, test reports, compliance certificates and other relevant technical documentation.
  • Ensure documentation complies with design specifications, applicable standards and project requirements.
  • Project Coordination
  • Coordinate testing activities with project teams, vendors, contractors and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in technical meetings and testing coordination meetings.
  • Provide regular updates on testing progress, quality issues, risks and outstanding actions.
  • Support the project team in achieving timely and successful acceptance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Building Services or another relevant engineering discipline.

Exceptional candidates may be considered with equivalent experience.

  • Minimum

3 years' relevant industry experience , preferably with significant data centre experience.

  • Proven experience in testing, commissioning, inspection, validation or quality control within data centre or critical infrastructure projects.
  • Good understanding of data centre systems, including electrical, HVAC, ELV/low‑voltage, fire protection and related M&E systems.
  • Experience reviewing testing plans, test procedures, test reports and technical documentation.
  • Experience coordinating vendors, contractors or third‑party testing organisations.
  • Good understanding of project schedule, quality and safety management.
  • Strong EHS awareness and a commitment to safe working practices.
  • Strong English communication skills and the ability to review and understand technical documentation and test reports in English.
  • Strong communication, coordination, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound technical judgements.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is advantageous.
  • Willingness and ability to undertake frequent international travel, potentially around

30–50% of working time .
