Position Overview:

As a key member of our executive leadership team, the Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing will be responsible for overseeing and driving the global strategy for sales and marketing of our products and services. We deliver digital transformation and innovation to our customers through software development, data & AI, cybersecurity, cloud and managed services. We also offer our own SaaS offerings and provide high-impact staff augmentation to our global customers. This role will focus on the development and execution of innovative strategies aimed at accelerating sales growth, enhancing customer engagement, and strengthening the Genese brand across all markets. The VP will play a crucial role in strategic planning, leadership, and the execution of sales and marketing initiatives to drive business growth and enhance brand recognition.

The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience in sales and marketing in a high growth B2B technology or services company. with at least 8 years in a leadership role like VP or Director of Sales and/or Marketing. This position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing complex sales operations, building high-performing teams, and delivering results in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Lead the global sales strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Build and manage a scalable, data-driven sales process across geographies and verticals.
  • Drive lead generation and qualification through outbound and inbound channels.
  • Lead conversion optimization efforts to improve close rates.
  • Develop and execute plans to expand the customer base, increase market share, and drive revenue growth across multiple regions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring the team is meeting targets and KPIs.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans across regions, ensuring consistent growth and achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Mentor regional sales leaders and implement a consistent global playbook.

Marketing Strategy & Brand Management:

  • Oversee the global marketing strategy, ensuring brand consistency across all regions and channels.
  • Drive demand generation to deliver qualified MQLs aligned with ICPs and GTM strategy.
  • Build and enhance brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity via website and digital assets.
  • Grow brand visibility through PR, social media, and strategic communications.
  • Manage execution of key industry events, webinars, and external engagement activities.
  • Oversee market research and competitive intelligence to inform product positioning and sales strategy.
  • Leverage web analytics, performance marketing, and user research to optimize digital funnels.
  • Drive Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies for new markets, products, and services in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Team Development & Performance Management:

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performance global sales and marketing team, ensuring continuous learning and development.
  • Foster a collaborative culture within the team, aligning individual goals with the broader company vision.
  • Implement regular performance reviews, setting clear expectations and providing constructive feedback.

Revenue Growth & Market Expansion:

  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, assessing industry trends and customer demands to drive Genese growth strategy.
  • Develop effective pricing strategies, balancing profitability with customer satisfaction and competitive advantage.
  • Focus on customer segmentation and lead efforts to deliver personalized experiences that drive revenue and engagement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Work closely with Product Development, Operations, and Technology teams to align marketing and sales strategies with product offerings.
  • Partner with Finance and Data Analytics teams to ensure accurate revenue forecasting and sales performance tracking.
  • Oversee budgeting and resource allocation, ensuring that sales and marketing efforts are cost-effective and yield maximum ROI.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Masters\’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in sales and marketing within a high-growth B2B technology or service company.
  • At least 8 years of experience in a senior leadership position like Director or VP of Sales and/or Marketing, with direct responsibility for global sales and marketing functions.
  • Proven track record of leading and scaling global teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Experience in managing complex sales processes, multi-channel marketing strategies , and leading large, cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in the B2B technology or service company is a strong advantage.

Skills & Expertise:

  • Strong expertise in sales strategy, marketing execution, and customer lifecycle management.
  • Strong understanding of digital transformation, software development, cloud, cybersecurity, AI, and/or managed services.
  • Demonstrated success leading distributed teams and scaling revenue in multi-regional markets.
  • Deep experience in both lead generation and brand marketing; a performance marketer mindset with storytelling skills.
  • Strong command of sales pipeline management, CRM tools, and modern marketing stacks.
  • Executive presence with the ability to engage with C-level clients, partners, and media.
  • Strategic thinker who can roll up sleeves to execute when needed.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong data-driven decision-making abilities and proficiency in sales and marketing analytics tools.
