Position Summary
Genese Solution is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Python, React, TypeScript, AWS, and modern software development practices to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, cloud-native full-stack applications, backend services, APIs, and AI-enabled solutions. This role requires hands-on experience in backend and frontend development, cloud technologies, API integrations, and modern software engineering practices. The successful candidate should also have experience creating and using AI agents, working with agent frameworks such as Strands Agents, implementing Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and clients, and integrating knowledge retrieval systems into applications. Strong TypeScript skills and experience developing reliable, maintainable, and well-tested software components are essential. The candidate should be comfortable working in an Agile environment, solving complex technical challenges, and contributing to the design and delivery of enterprise-grade applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Python,React, and TypeScript.
- Build and maintain secure, high-performance RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Develop responsive and user-friendly frontend applications using React,JavaScript/TypeScript, and CSS.
- Write high-quality TypeScript code for application logic, API integrations,reusable components, and client-side and server-side functionality.
- Create and integrate AI agents using relevant agent frameworks, including Strands Agents, to support application features and business workflows.
- Develop and integrate MCP servers and clients to connect applications and AI agents with external tools, APIs, databases, and enterprise systems.
- Integrate knowledge sources and implement retrieval-based solutions, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, vector search, and semantic retrieval.
- Design and optimize database structures using PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and other suitable data storage technologies.
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications and backend services on AWS cloud services.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, UI/UX Designers, and DevOps teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Write clean, maintainable, secure, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality, software architecture, and development standards.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues efficiently across frontend, backend, API, and cloud components.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
- Implement automated testing, CI/CD workflows, and appropriate monitoring and logging.
- Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and Agile ceremonies.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.
Desired Skills, Expertise and Knowledge
- Minimum 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong programming experience with Python and backend application development.
- Strong frontend development experience using React, JavaScript/TypeScript,HTML5, and CSS.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, including advanced types, interfaces, generics, asynchronous programming, error handling, and reusable software design.
- Good experience developing and maintaining production-grade TypeScript applications, integrations, reusable libraries, and API clients.
- Experience with Node.js, package management, automated testing, and modern TypeScript development tools.
- Experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
- Hands-on experience creating and using AI agents with frameworks such as Strands Agents or equivalent technologies.
- Familiarity with MCP servers, MCP clients, tool integrations, and connecting AI agents to external systems.
- Understanding of knowledge retrieval, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search.
- Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, APIGateway, IAM, and CloudWatch.
- Familiarity with Amazon Bedrock or other LLM APIs and AI integration services.
- Experience working with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservice architectures.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred
- Experience integrating AI capabilities and agentic workflows into full-stack applications.
- Familiarity with Strands Agents, MCP, and multi-agent workflows.
- Experience with vector databases such as pgvector, OpenSearch, Pinecone, or equivalent technologies.
- Familiarity with AI evaluation, observability, tracing, and LLM cost optimization.
- Experience with cloud-native architecture, infrastructure as code, and application monitoring.
- AWS Certification is an added advantage.
