About the Opportunity: We are seeking a GRC Intern to support our Information Security team across core GRC concepts, ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standards, risk assessments, internal policy reviews, and national compliance frameworks. This is a new role within the Cybersecurity department at GENESE.
Role & Responsibilities
- Revamp training slide decks on GRC basics, security frameworks (NIST, ISO, SOC2), and core security best practices (MFA, passwords, phishing, malware, incident response).
- Map and document ISO 27001:2022 Clause and Annex A / ISO 27002 controls across 14 domains using a risk-based approach.
- Assist in identifying threats, vulnerabilities, likelihood, and impact to calculate risk levels (Low/Med/High) and evaluate treatment options (avoidance, mitigation, acceptance, transfer).
- Review data protection, incident response, and access control policies; perform gap analyses to suggest ISMS and policy updates.
- Assist in mapping controls against national directives and laws (IT Directives, Unified Payment Directives, Electronic Transaction Act, Privacy Act, Cyber Resilience Guidelines).
- Shadow senior auditors in internal audit planning, evidence collection, and reporting; track Corrective and Preventive Action items.
Skills & Qualifications
- Recent Grad or Bachelor final year in any IT subjects.
- Fresh experience (no prior experience required).
- GRC foundations as a key technical skill.
- Fast learner, attention to detail, good documentation, communication and presentation skills.
