A very unique and challenging opportunity has become available for an experienced Account Manager with a group sales background to join our Global Sales Team. We are looking for a results-driven, passionate sales professional who has the drive, determination and hunger to seek out and win new business whilst raising the profile of the Generator brand and the properties in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts, maximising revenue opportunities for all Generator properties.
  • The focus is clearly on acquiring new customers in the group segment, with the target group being customers who require multiple rooms (e.g., tour operators, travel agencies, DMCs, universities, high schools, language schools).
  • Pro-actively seek out, take ownership and continually deliver new business opportunities across key market segments.
  • Group Sales conversion.
  • Stay on top of trends and new ideas.
  • Build long-term, commercially beneficial relationships within your market.
  • Understand, develop and follow company and sales specific practices.
  • Spend time with customers supporting their accommodation, F&B and event needs.
  • Represent the company at key industry events.
  • Promote the GENERATOR brand, experience and services to drive sales and revenue.
  • Report in a timely, consistent and professional manner on account and personal performance.
  • Collect, review, analyse market and revenue data in order to plan and execute strategic plans.
  • Plan, organise and manage a proactive and efficient business sales calendar.

Note: This role requires travel within the region and surrounding regions depending on business needs. Other duties may be reasonably required and form part of this job description.

Qualifications

  • Commercially savvy with a proven hostel background to spot business opportunities.
  • Revenue and profit oriented.
  • Meet and exceed KPIs and sales targets.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Able to work independently and creatively to close new sales opportunities.
  • Organisational and prioritisation skills to meet strict reporting deadlines.
  • Strong team player with an enthusiasm to learn.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to communicate well at all levels.
  • Hands-on attitude, with attention to detail.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.

Experience

  • Experience and proven success in groups segment preferable with a customer base that has potential for GENERATOR.
  • Knowledgeable of the local markets.
