NUTS AND BOLTS OF THE JOB:
- Leading the engineering and maintenance operations of the property, including building, machinery, plant, furniture, fixtures and equipment standards.
- Ensuring the safety and security of property and people by coordinating and implementing procedures and regulatory follow‑up.
- Planning and overseeing all repair and installation activities, including fire safety installations.
- Ensuring the hotel is prepared for regular fire, H&S and building audits.
- Keeping maintenance logs and reporting on daily activities.
- Managing relationships with contractors and service providers.
- Conducting inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.
- Having comprehensive knowledge of statutory local legislation and regulations, particularly health & safety, building regulations and fire safety.
- Monitoring, optimising and anticipating budgets and maintenance and personnel expenses.
- Contributing to the optimisation of the property results, including making rooms available for sale.
- Developing and training staff to meet required standards.
- Communicating effectively so the team understands its goals and is motivated to achieve them.
- Striving at all times for 100% customer satisfaction.

- Proven experience as a maintenance manager or similar role.
- Solid understanding of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, etc.
- Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
- Experience in planning maintenance operations.
