What the job entails
As Software Engineer (AI Focused), you will build and maintain applications across the frontend, backend and deployment stack, while taking ownership of significant parts of the AI agent infrastructure. You will develop user-facing features with React and Next.js, build backend services and APIs, and help deliver production-ready AI capabilities, including retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, multi-agent systems and evaluation frameworks.
Working with founders, engineers, designers and colleagues in growth, you will shape and deliver product features. You will also contribute to cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, performance and security. The role includes building data pipelines for training and evaluation, integrating language models and fine‑tuned models into products, and mentoring junior developers. Priorities and timelines may shift, so the role calls for adaptability and comfort working in a demanding, fast-moving environment.
Key requirements / What we look for

At least five years’ professional software engineering experience, including production experience with React and Next.js.

Strong backend development skills; Python is preferred. Knowledge of relational or NoSQL databases is required.

Hands‑on experience delivering AI applications in production, including RAG, agent orchestration and model evaluation.

Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Redis, background workers and task queues.

Strong problem‑solving, collaborative development and communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: £150,000-£180,000 + equity
