We’re working with a well-funded, early-stage AI startup that is rebuilding its core product and team after operating at significant real-world scale. The company is developing an AI-native platform that automates end-to-end influencer marketing for consumer brands. Rather than acting as a traditional agency, the product uses AI agents to handle workflows such as briefing, creator communication, execution, and compliance — removing a major operational burden for marketing teams.
The founder has previously scaled the business to support dozens of brands and tens of thousands of creators, learned where bespoke, service-heavy approaches break down, and is now intentionally resetting the company around a more focused ICP and a standardised, scalable product. This hire is one of the earliest engineering roles in that next phase.
The Role
They are looking for a Founding Product Engineer to work directly with the founder and take significant ownership of the frontend and product experience. This is a high-impact role suited to someone who enjoys ambiguity, wants real influence over product direction, and is comfortable operating at founder-level depth while still shipping hands-on code.
Responsibilities
- Build and own core product features using TypeScript, React, and Next.js
- Work closely with customers to understand workflows and translate them into scalable product abstractions
- Help shape product architecture, engineering standards, and long-term technical decisions
- Contribute to AI-driven features, integrating LLMs into user-facing workflows
- Operate in a forward-deployed manner when needed, collaborating directly with users and stakeholders
Requirements
- 4–6 years of strong frontend engineering experience
- Expert-level TypeScript, React, and Next.js
- Clear interest in AI and LLMs (hands-on usage expected; no need to build models)
- Experience in at least one startup environment (A–B stage preferred)
- Comfortable working on-site and committing to an intense, high-ownership role
- Strong communication skills and a bias toward execution
Preferred Profile
- Frontend-leaning full-stack experience or curiosity
- Good product and design sensibility
- Prior founder experience (not essential)
- Computer Science degree
- Regular use of LLMs in day-to-day work
- Big tech or consulting background is fine if followed by meaningful startup experience
Why This Role Stands Out
- True founding-level position with equity
- A product reset informed by real operational scale, not theory
- Experienced founder with funding in place and a clear strategic direction
- Opportunity to build from scratch while moving quickly
- London-based team with a Silicon Valley pace and mindset
