The Role

Were hiring a Logistics Team Leader for a busy manufacturing and distribution site in Kirkby-in-Ashfield.

Youll work with the Warehouse Manager and another Team Leader to keep delivery prep, fleet operations, picking, storage and compliance running smoothly.

Perfect for someone hands-on, computer-literate and ready to develop. Full training provided on internal systems.

  • Extra hours when needed to load carriers and vans for next-day routes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery Preparation: Package and secure goods to ADR standards, ensure clean and safe loading, complete delivery/collection paperwork accurately.
  • Fleet Support: Assist with route planning, Fleetmatic reports, daily vehicle checks, MOTs, servicing, breakdowns and driver hours/manifests.
  • Carrier Management: Book deliveries, declare consignments correctly, manage labelling, support damage claims and resolve transport queries.
  • Compliance: Follow DGSA rules for loading, securing, packaging and documentation. Support ISO9001, ISO14001 and environmental processes.
  • Order Picking & Despatch: Oversee picking accuracy, packing quality, delivery note checks, returns processing and communication with production.
  • Finished Goods Storage: Support weekly stock checks, rotation, call-off stock, reorder levels and safe storage standards.
  • Customer Service Support: Help resolve order queries, delivery issues and contribute to complaint investigations. xgikmsk
  • Health & Safety: Maintain high H&S standards, complete FLT checks, enforce safe working practices and strong housekeeping.
