The Generations Multi Academy Trust is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join our teams at both Goffs-Churchgate Academy and Goffs Academy. These are exciting opportunities to make a real difference in the lives of students with special educational needs (SEN), supporting their academic progress and personal development. You will play a key role in supporting students both in and out of lessons, helping them to achieve their full potential academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide targeted support for students with SEN, implementing strategies from Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Assist individuals and groups of students in their learning, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment to help students achieve their full potential.
- Establish supportive relationships with students, fostering inclusion and acceptance.
- Deliver one‑to‑one and small group support sessions as part of personalized learning programmes.
- Collaborate with class teachers to plan and implement appropriate materials and strategies.
- Monitor and track the impact of interventions to ensure progress.
- Contribute to EHCP reviews and ensure all necessary support is in place.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children at all times.
Requirements
- Have strong written and oral communication skills.
- Possess excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrate a positive, ‘can do’ attitude and a commitment to helping every student fulfil their potential.
- Have knowledge of curriculum content and strategies to support behaviour modification.
- Be flexible, resourceful, and passionate about supporting children with SEN.
