We are looking for a Policy Manager to lead high-impact policy from concept to delivery. You will develop international education and training policies, build strong partnerships, and help set the standards for the pharmacy profession.

The Role

  • You will own high-impact policy work across registration, education and statutory standards, with a particular focus on international routes to registration.
  • You will analyse UK and international regulatory developments, commission research, translate evidence into clear proposals, and build sector consensus with universities, NHS bodies and other regulators to deliver policy that improves outcomes for patients and professionals.

The successful applicant will:

  • Lead end-to-end policy initiatives and produce high-quality papers, reports and briefings for senior audiences.
  • Shape international education and registration routes — setting clear, fair standards that open pathways for talented professionals.
  • Build trusted partnerships with universities, NHS bodies and other regulators — growing your profile and influence on a national stage.
  • Track, interpret and brief on UK and international legislative changes, spotting trends early and positioning the GPhC ahead of change.
  • Represent the GPhC in key fora — showcasing our work and sharing learning with various stakeholders.
