We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Facilities & Reception Officer to support the smooth day-to-day operation of the GPhC office environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied, hands-on role and takes pride in delivering a professional and welcoming experience for all stakeholders.

The Facilities & Reception Officer plays an important role in delivering high-quality facilities and reception services across the organisation. This is a varied and hands-on role combining facilities support, reception duties and general office coordination. The role would suit someone who enjoys working collaboratively, takes a proactive approach to problem-solving, and is confident managing a busy and varied workload within a professional office environment.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Have experience supporting facilities, office or premises management activities within a busy working environment.
  • Be confident carrying out practical maintenance and DIY tasks safely and effectively, including minor repairs, office set-ups and general facilities support.
  • Possess excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and respond proactively to day-to-day operational issues.
  • Have a proactive, hands-on approach and be willing to support a broad range of facilities and reception activities across the organisation.
  • Be interested in developing experience further within facilities management, with the opportunity to support and deputise for the Senior Facilities Manager where required, gaining exposure to wider operational and compliance responsibilities.
  • Understand that this role is office-based and requires a visible on-site presence to support the day-to-day operational needs of the organisation.
  • It is a genuine occupational requirement that the postholder attends the office 5 days per week covering core office hours from 9am to 5pm.
  • Additionally, the postholder will be expected to support emergency works outside normal working hours where required.
