Assessment Officer 12-month (FTC)

We are looking for a confident and proactive team player with excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills to join our friendly and supportive Triage team to assess concerns and contribute to protecting the public and maintaining confidence in pharmacy services.

Salary: £29,112- £31,732 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus benefits

Location: Canary Wharf, London (Hybrid working)

Hours: 35 hours per week, from 9.00 to 5.00, Monday to Friday

The Role

Assessment Officers are the first point of assessment for concerns raised about pharmacy professionals and pharmacies across Great Britain. In this role, you will review concerns, gather relevant information, assess potential risks, and make informed recommendations on whether matters should progress for formal investigation.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who enjoy problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and working within a fast-paced and evolving environment. You will play an important role in helping us achieve our vision of safe and effective pharmacy care at the heart of healthier communities.

• Have an inquisitive mind with the ability to recognise, assess and manage risk appropriately.
• Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to respond effectively to queries from stakeholders, whilst managing issues directly, empathetically and, where appropriate, escalating concerns appropriately.
• Be an active team player and demonstrate behaviours of helping colleagues, sharing information, and solving process issues.
• Take a proactive approach to improving processes, with the tenacity to make sure that assessments are delivered with the best customer experience in mind, whilst consistently achieving KPIs and maintaining quality standards.
