General Motors Advanced Design are seeking an enthusiastic intern to join the Digital Sculpting or Design Visualization team based in its new UK studio in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. An entry level internship as either a Digital Sculptor or Design Visualization Artist working under the general mentorship of Senior Sculptors and Visualization Artists and leads, responsible for creating and visualizing new designs for automotive vehicles and other mobility products including but not limited to: interiors, exteriors, color and trim, brand and components.
Work collaboratively in a team of design personnel to achieve design goals as defined by leadership. Follow design process from initial sketches through final release of models. Present working level and final digital models, images, renderings and animations to management and leadership. Understanding of 3D form and surface transition (sculpting) and image composition, basic animation and rendering (Visualization). Works closely with team members and cross-functional partners to communicate design intent.
Understands program timelines and task completion in a deadline driven environment. Collaborate frequently with design team, sculpting organization, engineering and fabrication teams in the development of new designs. Maintain knowledge of current design trends and technology. Present ideas frequently to management and leadership to communicate design ideas.
Work duties involve a considerable amount of perception and creativity as well as a strong degree of skill and accuracy to deliver work in a deadline driven environment.
