Join our SAP Global Basis team, a highly collaborative global group responsible for the design, automation, and 24/7 support of General Mills' SAP infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Help ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of critical SAP platforms that power our global business.
  • Work in a modern cloud and automation-driven environment; contribute to technical architecture, infrastructure optimisation, and system lifecycle management across SAP and its supporting applications such as Swift, Taulia, IQ NLS, and Content Server.
  • Maintain and evolve our global SAP landscape, ensuring high levels of system performance, availability, and operational excellence.
  • Proactively manage SAP instances and HANA database clusters, identify performance issues, and implement improvements.
  • Design and implement infrastructure automation using tools such as Ansible and Terraform, applying infrastructure-as-code principles within our cloud hyperscaler environment.
  • Contribute to technical design decisions, SAP lifecycle strategies, and future system landscapes; play a role in patching and upgrading SAP systems, supporting technology recovery strategies, and improving operational processes.
  • Collaborate across teams, mentor colleagues, and help strengthen technical standards and documentation across the organisation.
  • Participate in periodic on-call rotations to help ensure the stability of mission-critical platforms (approximately 3-4 weekends per year for 24x7, and 5-6 workweeks per year for 12x5).

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in SAP Basis or HANA administration, with a deep understanding of enterprise infrastructure and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • 5+ years of experience managing SAP landscapes.
  • Knowledge of technologies such as Linux or Windows Server, HANA or other relational databases, and infrastructure automation tools like Ansible or Terraform.
  • Experience working in cloud environments (ideally GCP) and supporting NetWeaver ABAP/Java systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, and strong collaboration and communication skills for global technical teams.
