A Marketing Manager to join the General Mills Marketing team on the biggest and most established brand in the business, Old El Paso, to drive transformational change in the brand growth trajectory. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will lead the beating heart of the team, the Brand Management function. You will be the ultimate brand and organisational leader with strong brand management and commercial skills, who will develop and execute outstanding marketing strategies that deliver on our growth ambition.
What your role is: This is a leadership role demanding both strategic vision and operational excellence. You will be the driving force behind the brand's success, crafting and executing a robust strategy across all four Ps (Product, Price, Place, Promotion). Your inspirational leadership will guide cross-functional teams, ensuring clear direction and ambitious targets are met across all growth initiatives. You’ll be a key player in shaping the future of the brand, working closely with our central brand development team to leverage consumer insights and drive impactful core and innovation strategies. You’ll take the reins of our brand portfolio and innovation pipeline, leading the charge on global and local initiatives, from new product launches to impactful renovations and licensing agreements. Your expertise will be crucial in defining and executing optimal consumer-first channel and customer engagement strategies, maximising growth across both grocery and non-grocery channels. You’ll be responsible for developing and presenting compelling annual category growth plans to key customers, collaborating closely with category and sales teams. Beyond portfolio management, you’ll have the unique opportunity to autonomously lead Green Giant, a key brand within our portfolio, driving its consumer engagement and growth. This role also includes line management responsibilities, where you will develop and mentor the World Foods Brand Manager. Within the wider marketing function, you will act as a coach and mentor, inspiring your team and fostering a culture of excellence. Finally, you will serve as the brand champion, elevating, engaging, and inspiring both internal and external stakeholders to share in the brand's passion and belief.
What you will bring to the team: You will be a proactive, strategic thinker who can independently develop and execute winning brand strategies. A highly accomplished and self-motivated senior marketing professional with 7+ years' experience, ideally in FMCG. You will be the architect of your brand's success, crafting compelling narratives and galvanising your team around a shared vision. With a deep understanding of consumer behaviour, translate that knowledge into innovative, data-driven campaigns that challenge conventions. Beyond creativity, your P&L fluency, keen eye for data-driven insights, and relentless drive to succeed will be paramount for the brand's growth.
