In a world that's ever‑changing, we look to stay ahead and seek people who share our love of food and are hungry to shape the future.

About the role

We’re looking for a commercially minded Senior Commercial Finance Analyst to partner with our DACH markets – the most strategically important region within our Northern Europe cluster. In this high‑impact role, you’ll act as a true co‑pilot to Market Managers, driving financial performance and shaping growth strategy in line with General Mills’ International ambitions. You’ll support the delivery of market commitments through robust analysis, proactive insight, and clear recommendations – identifying opportunities, constructively challenging assumptions, and aligning decisions to both local priorities and global strategy. You’ll also lead the monthly business cycle (PEAK process), ensuring strong performance tracking, forecasting accuracy, and financial discipline across the region.

What your role is

  • Driving Financial Performance: Own the financial delivery of the DACH region, providing critical decision support, robust analysis, and proactive identification of business opportunities to achieve ambitious market goals.
  • Strategic Business Partnering: Educate market leaders on their financial performance, manage the monthly business cycle (PEAK process), and provide financial insights that directly support decision‑making for the cluster lead.
  • Influencing Growth: Leverage advanced analytical techniques and models to influence key business decisions. You’ll provide recommendations on everything from Annual Agreements and New Product Development (NPD) to trade and marketing investments, SKU and customer profitability, and special projects. Your insights will directly execute brand and market strategies.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Gain an in-depth understanding of the entire FMCG landscape – from brands and categories to customers and market dynamics. This role demands strong collaboration across all functional areas within General Mills, including factory, region, supply chain, marketing, and sales, ensuring a holistic approach to success.

What you will bring to the team

You’re a qualified accountant (CIMA, CA or equivalent) with 4+ years’ post‑qualified experience, ideally gained within a multinational FMCG or commercial environment. You’re proactive, detail‑oriented, and results‑driven, with first‑class analytical skills and strong financial systems capability (Excel, SAP, Business Objects). You’re comfortable navigating complex, matrixed organisations and can confidently challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels. You communicate clearly and persuasively – both in writing and verbally – and build strong relationships, even when working remotely across markets. German language skills are highly valued. Above all, you bring integrity, curiosity, and a passion for delivering high‑quality outcomes as part of a collaborative, performance‑focused team.

What’s in it for you?

  • Work with Heart: We offer flexibility that also requires partnership to ensure we regularly come together in person for those moments that help drive our business forward. Our hybrid work policy means an average of 2 days per week in the office with the opportunity to finish at 15:00 on Fridays.
  • Wellbeing: We want our people to feel well and thrive, so we offer a free Headspace account for you and up to 5 friends or family members, ongoing activities, Employee Assistance Program and more.
  • Bonus: Our people are at the heart of what makes General Mills great, so when goals are reached, you’ll be rewarded through our bonus scheme.
  • Health & Dental Insurances: All colleagues get the opportunity to join our insurances from day one.
  • Family & Carers Leave: Every family is unique. Our approach allows every family to have the opportunity to spend quality time‑off to support them from the point of birth or adoption to care, with enhanced covers.
  • Enjoy other perks like enhanced pension contributions, subsidised canteen, access to both peer‑to‑peer recognition and discount platforms, 2 extra days for volunteering work, and more…
