About The GMC We work with doctors, physician associates (PAs), anaesthesia associates (AAs), those they care for and other stakeholders to support good, safe patient care across the UK. We set the standards doctors, PAs, AAs and their educators need to meet and help them achieve them. If there are concerns these standards may not be met or public confidence may be at risk, we can investigate and take action if needed.
Role Overview The Quality Development and Assurance Manager is an evolving role, leading the Quality Development and Assurance team. The role involves managing networks, working proactively, developing and leading a range of projects and assurance activities, and collaborating with risk management and Internal Audit to deliver projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting managers and teams in the development and refinement of operational processes
- Contributing to internal audits, sometimes working with external audit providers
- Supporting the development of risk management and assurance, including leading on the annual update of the Business Assurance Framework
