About The GMC
We work with doctors, physician associates (PAs), anaesthesia associates (AAs), those they care for and other stakeholders to support good, safe patient care across the UK. We set the standards doctors, PAs, AAs and their educators need to meet, and help them achieve them. If there are concerns these standards may not be met or that public confidence in doctors, PAs, or AAs may be at risk, we can investigate, and take action if needed.
The Information Governance Officer position is based in the GMC’s Information Policy team. You will work alongside information governance colleagues providing a high-quality information governance service. Primarily, the post holder will provide information governance advice to colleagues across the GMC, including aiding our procurement processes, assessing information security breaches, and supporting information sharing. They will also supervise the operational delivery of the Medical Register Download Service. We are happy to consider a range of flexible working options.
