We work with doctors, physician associates, anaesthesia associates, patients, and a wide range of partners to support good, safe patient care across the UK. As our new Head of Enquiries, you’ll lead in shaping how we serve the public and the professions, bringing fresh ideas on operational excellence and customer experience. It’s an exciting moment to join us as we modernise and transform.

Responsibilities

  • Lead around 100 colleagues across three key functions:
  • Contact Centre: handling all first contacts into the organisation from registrants, stakeholders and the public across multiple channels
  • Complaints: analysing feedback about policies and services to reach fair resolutions and embed learning and improvement
  • Registration Services: leading identity checking and verification for everyone who joins our registers
  • Champion outstanding customer service, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement, including adoption of new technologies.
  • Provide strategic direction and hands-on operational leadership, building strong relationships across the organisation and with external partners.
  • Support colleagues to develop their skills and foster a collaborative, high-performing culture.
  • The person

    You’re a positive, confident leader with significant experience in large-scale operational management, able to think clearly under pressure and make fair, proportionate decisions based on evidence and insight. You’re comfortable leading change and have a track record of building constructive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You’ll join a committed team based in our modern Manchester city-centre offices, with occasional travel to our London base. During the induction period, you’ll be required to work in the office at least 2 days per week for 6 weeks. After induction, you’ll work a minimum of 1 day per week in the office, with additional days possible as needed. Occasional travel to our London office will be required. We are happy to consider a range of flexible working options in line with policy.
