We're building the AI-native Blackstone - a private equity firm that uses AI to analyze 100% of investment opportunities, not the 5% that traditional PE can manually review.
Our system (VALIS) is already working. We have a $15M deal at LOI stage that was discovered through our AI. Now we need a founding engineer to help scale it.
What you'll build:
- AI-powered deal origination (SEC EDGAR, Companies House, CourtListener, more)
- Automated underwriting with institutional-grade distress ratios
- A learning system that gets smarter with every search
- Autonomous agents that run overnight (we call them Ralph loops)
Stack: Python/FastAPI, Claude API, React
You:
- 3-7 years shipping production software
- Strong Python backend
- Already using AI tools (Claude, Cursor) to code faster
- Startup mentality - ships fast, figures things out
