- Lead the year-end process and act as the lead finance contact for external accountants.
- Maintain compliance with UK GAAP and statutory requirements across our jurisdictions.
Accounting Operations:
- Own accounting operations: GL, AP/AR, payroll journals, expense processes, balance sheet reconciliations, and SaaS revenue deferrals.
- Run and continually improve the month-end close process.
- Serve as the main liaison to local accountants (US, Europe, APAC) for bookkeeping and statutory filings.
- Collaborate closely with our Finance Assistant and provide mentorship.
Insight, Analysis & FP&A Support:
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling with the COO/VP Finance.
- Deliver insight-rich variance reporting to department leads.
- Help build dashboards and improve how finance uses data across the business.
Cash, Tax & Treasury:
- Prepare monthly cash flow reports and insights.
- Manage multi-currency banking operations and payments.
- Coordinate VAT/GST, corporation tax, payroll taxes, and other filings with external advisors.
Systems, Automation & Process Improvement:
- Own and improve finance systems (Xero today; ERP transition in future).
- Adopt AI and automation tools (ScaleXP today) to streamline reconciliations, reporting, and workflows.
- Enhance processes across billing, revenue recognition, purchasing, and financial controls.
- Identify opportunities to make finance more efficient, scalable, and data-driven.
You offer:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- 4–6+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, ideally in tech, SaaS, or fintech.
- Strong understanding of month-end processes and financial operations.
- Exposure to multi-entity or multi-currency accounting.
- Highly numerate and data-driven, with strong Excel and analytical skills.
- Willingness to embrace AI tools to modernise and future-proof the finance function.
- Clear communication skills and confidence working with internal and external stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to improvement.
We offer:
- High-impact role at the heart of a global scaling company.
- A true step-up opportunity with autonomy and mentorship.
- Tech-first culture embracing automation, AI, and operational excellence.
- Real progression opportunities as the business grows.
- Supportive environment with room to shape your development.
- Private healthcare with Bupa.
