General Dynamics in St Leonards-on-Sea currently provide avionic mission computing systems for a wide range of military fast jets, helicopters, and UAV’s. Recent success has resulted in General Dynamics developing the next generation of Advanced High Performance, Safety Critical Mission Computer Systems to meet the needs of latest platforms in development by several aircraft manufacturers. These Mission Computing Systems provide the functionality that integrates aircraft systems, sensor systems and weapon systems with the information and control systems required by the aircrew to meet the demanding operational needs of these aircraft. Job Description A Project Controller is a wide ranging role that interfaces with a number of key project stakeholders across the business, but primarily with Project Managers and Control Account Managers . In this role you will: Support assigned Project Manager(s) to promote good planning practice and ensure scope, schedule & budget adherence Monitor, report & flag concerns, exceptions and issues through recognised escalation routes, along with proposed solutions Qualifications To be successful in this position you will be able to demonstrate the following: Be able to create and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project, use them to effectively manage and report progress on a project Havea good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Can create, maintain and report risks using a risk management tool Experience working in a controlled project environment, supporting a portfolio of projects of medium to high complexity Additional Information Starting salary for this position is £29,600 to £37,000 plus our excellent flexible benefits.
