General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS), a premier provider to the US Department of Defense and allied nations, is seeking an experienced onsite Nondestructive Testing Technician Lead (Level 3) to join our Camden, AR team.

This individual will be required to design, develop, and implement nondestructive testing (NDT) to evaluate the properties and conformance of a material, component, or system without causing damage. Record, analyze, and report test results. Maintain & follow test documentation in accordance with applicable regulations and requirements.
Major Position Responsibilities
- Set up and standardize equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results.
- Develop specific calibrations and tests.
- Document results in accordance with the specification.
- Identifies errors and defects in equipment.
- Use of radiography, or other techniques during the testing process.
- Conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard.
- Maintain or develop procedures, policies, and techniques as necessary.
- Train subordinate personnel in the various NDT disciplines and techniques.
- Maintain documentation for training and experience hours.
Basic Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS : (including proficiencies, skills, knowledge, certifications)
- Required Education: Vocational/Technical Training Degree
- Discipline/Major: Technical school or an applicable skilled trade program
- Preferred Certification: NAS 410 Certification Level 3 Radiographer Non-Film: State issued industrial radiographer certificate – Ability to achieve Level 3 Radiographer Non-film certification in alignment with NAS 410 standards, through experience, education, training, and testing, and perform the required Level 3 requirements.
- Additional Certifications: NAS 410 Certification Level 2: State issued industrial radiographer certificate – Ability to achieve Level I or Level 2 certification in alignment with NAS 410 standards, through education, training, and testing, and perform the required Level 2 requirements
- Years and Area of Experience (required for the role): 4-6 Years
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Technical expertise. Problem-solving skills. Time management skills. Manual dexterity.
- Critical Professional Related Technical Skills; Computer Skills: -Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
