We are currently recruiting Systems and Senior Systems Integration Engineers to join our team.
Responsibilities
- As an Integration Engineer, you will contribute to the System Integration Team working on programmes responsible for developing the next iteration of Tactical Communications and Information System (TacCIS).
- You will contribute to the design support, development, and validation and integration of solutions, and be an engineer within a team responsible for the delivery of a robust System Integration plan addressing the particular interests of stakeholders.
- Informing system design based on experience – setting up and executing integration activities in the lab to inform design.
- Provide input or produce test methods against mature designs that can be used to inform the test cases further down the process.
- Author tests method/cases to the required standard to inform future programme execution.
- Support the development of appropriate integration and test plans.
- Support detailed planning to successfully schedule and execute integration and test activity.
- Identify, define, and write tests, detailed procedures and scripts with reference to system specification, design and use cases.
- Execute defined test activities including performance, characterisation and investigative tests.
- Capture and manage test results and associated data, including additional formalities that may be required for verification and qualification.
- Support the production of defect and test reports including associated analysis and test conclusions.
- For Senior roles you will support or assist more junior members and lead initiatives or some projects.
Qualifications
- Competence in System Integration and Test with experience in complex development programmes.
- Understanding of tactical network infrastructures, including C4I Systems, networks, radios, routers, switches, and system management.
- Knowledge of Internet and OSI-layered communications models, messaging and routing protocols, TCP/IP, UDP in wireless and wired environments.
- Technical awareness of electrical, mechanical and computer systems hardware, including commercial IT architecture.
- Proven methodical analytic fault finding skills with ability to work in a technical laboratory environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficient in Microsoft applications, with ability to generate well-structured technical documents.
- Experience with AI for process and documentation streamlining is desirable.
- Experienced in the use of one or more of the following engineering tools or equivalents: HP ALM, IBM DOORS, PTC Integrity Modeller, Rational Quality Manager, Rational Team Concert, and proficient use of Microsoft Office tools.
Salary
Salary for this position is £36,000 to £60,000 depending on experience plus our excellent flexible benefits package.
Working arrangement
We offer hybrid working – for this role ideally we are looking for an average of 2 days per week per month on site. There may be times where more time on site is required depending on the stage of the project.
