Job Description
Due to business growth and new projects, we are seeking a senior hardware engineer to join our team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading avionics product development across digital, analog, and power electronics.
- Overseeing the entire product development lifecycle from conceptual design to system integration.
- Designing and developing electronic circuits and systems that meet performance, reliability, and cost targets.
- Integrating electronic components and systems into larger products.
- Managing project timelines, resources, and deliverables.
- Mentoring junior engineers and guiding project teams.
- Ensuring designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a qualification in hardware, electronics, or electronic systems engineering. Experience in defense, avionics, aerospace, or naval systems is preferred but not essential. You should also possess:
- A solid understanding of electronics engineering challenges.
- Knowledge of the development lifecycle from requirements to production, including design, schematic capture, analysis, commissioning, and integration.
Professional registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng or equivalent) is desirable but not mandatory. We support employees in attaining CEng status and offer further study assistance for degrees or master's qualifications.
Additional Information
Starting salary will depend on experience. We have positions for Senior Hardware Engineer and Principal Hardware Engineer. This role offers flexible working options, including working from home and in-office presence (minimum 3 days per week), or fully in-office in St Leonards-on-Sea. Relocation assistance may be available for eligible UK-based applicants. We offer an attractive benefits package, including:
