Responsibilities include working in the back shop on landing gear and brake assemblies. Under moderate supervision, the technician repairs and certifies wheel and brake components in accordance with Gulfstream Repair Station requirements. The technician sets up and cleans wheel & brake bay equipment, installs parts, performs functional and operational tests, and issues authorized release certificates. The role includes troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, operating CMMs, maintaining accurate paperwork, and complying with all company and legislative environmental, health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum GCSE required.
- Basic mechanical skills, hand tool use, and shop math proficiency.
- Experience in sheet metal, hydraulic, wheel, or brake overhaul, or related field.
- Proficient use of hand tools, glass bead, and carboblast machines.
- Basic understanding of shop math and ability to interpret maintenance manuals.
