The General Dental Council (GDC) has an exciting opportunity for a practising GDC-registered dentist to become a Clinical Dental Adviser. Working in our Fitness to Practise Department alongside GDC colleagues, you will ensure that appropriate and timely clinical advice is provided on all relevant cases.

About You

We are looking for someone:

  • With outstanding communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Who will enjoy working as part of a team to help make reasoned, balanced, and sometimes very challenging, decisions.
  • Who is able to analyse and assess clinical evidence and to set out their opinions about the standard of the care a patient has received.
  • Who can give advice to colleagues about what evidence might be required to progress an investigation.
  • Who has experience of managing a large and varied workload, bringing high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • With experience of the legal and regulatory framework within which the GDC operates.

To be eligible to apply, you must be a practising Dentist without any live fitness to practise investigations or adverse FtP history.
