The General Dental Council (GDC) is seeking to appoint Lay Case Examiners on a fixed-term basis to join us as a key part of our Fitness to Practise Directorate. Working with GDC colleagues and lawyers, you will review and analyse cases at the investigation stage, deciding on the most appropriate course of action and making decisions which are balanced and compliant with GDC’s Fitness to Practise rules.
About you
You will be an outstanding communicator, both written and oral, and will enjoy working as part of a team to make reasoned, and sometimes very challenging, decisions. You will have the clear ability to analyse, assess and make decisions on complex and voluminous information and evidence. You will work efficiently and manage a large and varied workload, bringing high levels of accuracy and attention to detail. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about the contribution we make to improving healthcare services, who understand the far-reaching impact of our work, and who approach all of their work with integrity and objectivity.
