The General Dental Council (GDC) have an exciting opportunity for an Engagement Officer. You will join us on a Full-time, 12 month contract. This role is Hybrid (2 days minimum per week spent working from the GDC’s office in London) and in return you will receive a salary of £35,777 to £42,090 per annum.

Our primary purpose is to protect patient safety and maintain public confidence in dental services. About the Engagement Officer role:
As Engagement Officer, you will take the lead on the logistical arrangements for any face-to-face stakeholder opportunities, supporting the GDC's programme of engagement by delivering effective events, conferences and virtual and in-person meetings.
Key Responsibilities of our Engagement Officer:
- Engagement with the GDC’s external audiences including strategic partners, dental professionals, dental students and patient groups across the UK
- Maintaining the GDC stakeholder engagement tools including: the stakeholder calendar, inbox, lists and meeting databases
- Providing effective administration support for all the stakeholder engagement workstreams
- Providing administrative and logistical support for events including the Dental Leadership Network and external conferences.
You will possess excellent planning and organisational skills, paired with an ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively. You will demonstrate previous experience in administration as well as some evidence of events management. You will provide an excellent knowledge and understanding of MS Office including PowerPoint, Word and Excel, along with a good working knowledge of content management systems.
