Contract: Fixed term for 12 months

We play a vital role in the delivery of safe and effective oral healthcare in the UK. We do this by overseeing the register of dental professionals, ensuring only those who hold the necessary qualifications can practise. Our vision is to be a trusted and effective regulator, supporting dental professionals to provide safe and effective care for their patients, as set out in our ambitious new strategy for 2026-2028.

You will be joining the Communications and Engagement team, a group of dedicated, hard-working professionals, to help us deliver impactful and engaging campaigns. Activity is delivered across a range of channels, including digital and social, to help us connect effectively with dental professionals, external partners, patients and the public.

About the role:

  • Contribute to the delivery of the GDC's Communications and Engagement strategy by providing effective support for all workstreams.
  • Support the team with the monitoring and evaluation of content, manage content production schedules and liaise with external stakeholders on agreeing content.
  • Deliver the monthly GDC newsletter to dental professionals.
  • Create slide-decks and content to be used by colleagues, and other content, including copy for the web, ensuring it is relevant, accurate and brand compliant.
  • Make changes and updates to the GDC website using the content management system (CMS).

About you:

  • Excellent planning and organisation skills.
  • Evidence of attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Evidence of the ability to create high-quality written communications and publications.
  • Ability to quickly build effective relationships with colleagues.
  • Good working knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS), digital design and publishing tools, e.g. Canva and Mailjet, and digital evaluation tools, e.g. Google Analytics 4.
