The work of the Fitness to Practise team is vital in ensuring public confidence in the dental sector. We investigate concerns of shortcomings in conduct or competence where dental patients may be at serious risk. When appropriate, we take action to mitigate that risk. Casework Assistants play an essential supporting role, assisting with administrative and casework tasks to ensure the timely progression of Fitness to Practise cases, in accordance with departmental procedures. Day-to-day tasks include providing a high-quality customer service, managing finance processes, and preparing and summarising case-related documentation, maintaining accurate records and tailoring correspondence to suit the requirements of the recipient. Person specification: β Excellent verbal communication skills. β Ability to produce high-quality written correspondence. β Demonstrable attention to detail. β Experience of working in a customer/client-based environment. β Experience of working in a regulatory or similar environment, managing sensitive and confidential information. β Experience of working in a team supporting others and managing expectations. β Strong ICT skills, including Microsoft Office products. β Experience of maintaining databases and other records. β Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills. β Ability to work independently in planning and organising own workload. β Ability to adapt to changing priorities. β Committed to equality and diversity in service delivery.
