Position Summary

The Regional Recruiting Lead will build and scale our lateral and programmatic recruiting capabilities across EMEA and Asia Pacific. Based in London, this individual will oversee lateral recruiting efforts across General Atlantic and Actis and partner closely with regional leadership across all markets, the Global Head of Talent, and the Head of Early Talent Recruiting in New York to drive best‑in‑class hiring outcomes and support the continued growth of our global platform. This person will play a critical role in strengthening direct sourcing capabilities, improving recruiting processes and data integrity, and helping to deliver a consistent, high‑quality candidate and hiring manager experience across regions while remaining responsive to local market needs.

Responsibilities

  • Regional Recruiting Strategy
    • Lead end‑to‑end lateral recruiting across EMEA and APAC, from role scoping through offer, across investment and corporate functions.
    • Oversee lateral hiring across General Atlantic and Actis, ensuring a high‑touch, commercially grounded approach across both platforms.
    • Build direct sourcing strategies across regions, including internal mobility, referrals, market mapping, and proactive outreach.
    • Partner with the Head of Early Talent Recruiting to adapt and deliver undergrad/MBA, and early‑career programs across EMEA and APAC.
    • Lead pipeline development and talent mapping for priority roles, with clear market updates and recommendations across key hubs.
  • Business Partnership
    • Build trusted relationships with business leaders and HRBPs across regions to anticipate hiring needs and shape recruiting strategy.
    • Advise stakeholders on market trends, talent availability, and competitive hiring dynamics across EMEA and APAC.
    • Align recruiting approaches across General Atlantic and Actis to drive consistency, quality, and strong partnership with the business.
  • Process Excellence & Recruiting Analytics
    • Help implement scalable recruiting processes, tools, and operating rhythms across regions to improve consistency and efficiency.
    • Develop and share best practices for interviews, calibration, candidate experience, and hiring manager enablement.
    • Maintain data integrity across ATS and HR systems, and build simple reporting on funnel health, time‑to‑fill, source mix, and sourcing savings.
    • Track agency versus direct sourcing performance, including quality, speed, and cost savings, to inform strategy.
    • Ensure recruiting processes comply with local employment regulations and support the firm’s commitment to inclusion.

Qualifications

  • 7‑12 years of full‑cycle recruiting experience, with significant exposure to lateral hiring across EMEA and/or Asia Pacific markets.
  • Prior in‑house recruiting experience in financial services, private equity, or professional services preferred.
  • Passion for talent acquisition and the full recruiting lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated success building or scaling recruiting processes in a high‑growth, multi‑country, and multi‑region environment.
  • Proven track record in direct sourcing and talent mapping, including use of LinkedIn and other platforms, referrals, and internal networks.
  • Comfort working across multiple time zones, including EMEA and Asia Pacific and the US, and partnering closely with US‑based teams, particularly on undergrad and MBA recruiting.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret funnel and source data, tell a clear story with numbers, and use insights to drive action.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to coach hiring managers and advocate for best practices across diverse cultural contexts.
  • High level of discretion, judgment, and professionalism in handling confidential information and senior stakeholders.
