Regional Operations Manager - Essex/North London

Are you a driven and dynamic operations professional passionate about the building materials or construction industry? General All-Purpose Plastics Ltd is expanding and with new depots opening we are looking for an Regional Operations Manager for the Essex/North London area to become a key player in our mission to elevate sales and expand our market footprint!

This is not just any job; it’s an opportunity to lead our depot initiatives in a thriving region! You will be the ambassador of our brand, forging strategic partnerships with key managers and delivering tailored solutions that set us apart. Working closely with branch managers and our dedicated sales team, your contributions will ensure we provide unmatched service and achieve remarkable results.

Responsibilities

  • Produce, implement and monitor organisational policies and procedures
  • Train and develop depot staff
  • Monitor, implement and maintain health and safety practises within the region
  • Engagement and development of your regional depot team
  • Assist in the growth and service both domestic and national sales accounts
  • Maintain high levels of customer service in the region
  • Ensure you work to achieve operational KPI’s

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience as an Operations Manager, ideally in the building materials or construction sector.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills with a deep understanding of performance metrics.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • A knack for building and maintaining solid client relationships.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A willingness to travel frequently within the Essex/North London area.

What we offer

  • Competitive salary of up to £45,000 + bonus
  • A Monday to Friday work schedule (occasional Saturday mornings) 45 hours per week.
  • A company car or a car allowance, along with a fuel card.
