General All Purpose Plastics Ltd in Blackburn is looking for a passionate Fabrication Team Leader to join our UPVC manufacturing team. In this role, you'll create high-quality windows and doors in an inspiring workplace that values your skills. We offer a competitive salary based on experience and great career advancement potential. Currently, we operate a single day shift from Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of production operatives.
- Conduct probation reviews, back to work interviews and disciplinaries.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to prepare materials for production.
- Operate various fabrication machinery, including cutting, drilling, and assembly tools.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to prevent damage and waste.
- Monitor production processes to guarantee adherence to quality standards and production schedules.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot any manufacturing issues that arise during the production process.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any malfunctions to management.
Requirements:
- Experience of leading a team in a manufacturing industry.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or fabrication, ideally within the plastics or aluminium industry.
- Strong mechanical skills and the ability to operate fabrication machinery safely and effectively.
