Senior Commercial Contract Manager – Front Office Contracts
Generacion y Gestion is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Contract Manager to manage the real‑time interface and relationship with a supplier for a recently insourced contract, delivering value for money and commercial benefits in line with government policy and best practice.
Responsibilities
- Manage the contract team’s day‑to‑day activity.
- Monitor the supplier’s commercial and service performance under the contract and analyse outcomes.
- Take remedial action when necessary, following GCF and NAO Good Practice Frameworks and Guidance.
- Agree and refine a contractual change process, ensuring adherence and keeping the cost model current and accessible.
- Conduct financial negotiations for contract changes at the appropriate management level, ensuring the agreements remain commercially advantageous.
- Review and amend contract documents, including service‑level exhibits and statements of work, in line with agreed changes.
- Build strong working relationships with the vendor’s service delivery centre, Service Desk and Account teams.
- Intervene, analyse, manage and resolve business conflicts between suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Develop strategic supplier‑management initiatives in collaboration with the relevant contract owner or cost‑centre manager.
Skills and Experience
- MCIPS or equivalent qualification (e.g., IACCM/WCC).
- Public sector contract‑management experience, ideally from both supplier and client perspectives.
- Experience managing outsourced contact‑centre contracts or similar services.
- Demonstrable commercial contract‑management experience at a senior level.
- Track record of working effectively with service delivery teams, business managers and project managers.
- Relationship‑building skills (internal and external).
- Experience with commercial cost models and their practical implementation.
