The Warehouse & Logistics Operative is responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and accurate operation of the warehouse and logistics functions at the Rugby site. The role supports the movement, storage, preparation, and dispatch of equipment, parts, and materials across the business, ensuring products are received, handled, and delivered accurately and professionally. Working closely with Operations, Service, Parts, and Sales teams, the role helps ensure equipment and materials are available when required and that customer deliveries and collections are completed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Warehouse Operations
    • Receive, inspect, and assist with the book-in incoming goods and materials.
    • Pick, pack, and prepare equipment, parts, and consumables for dispatch.
    • Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
    • Store stock in designated locations and maintain warehouse organisation.
    • Support equipment movements within the warehouse and yard areas.
    • Ensure goods are stored safely and correctly to prevent damage or loss.
    • 5S - Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient warehouse environment.
  • Logistics Support
    • Assist with coordinating customer deliveries and collections.
    • Assist with delivery paperwork and shipping documentation.
    • Support transport planning and vehicle loading activities.
    • Ensure products are dispatched accurately and on time.
    • Liaise with transport providers and internal departments as required.
    • Assist with checking incoming and outgoing deliveries for accuracy and condition.
  • Inventory Control
    • Assist with stock counts and cycle counting activities.
    • Assist with the maintaining of accurate stock records and locations.
    • Report stock discrepancies, damages, or shortages promptly.
    • Support inventory accuracy and warehouse housekeeping standards.
    • Ensure stock movements are correctly recorded within company systems.
    • Assist with maintaining inventory integrity and audit readiness.
  • Equipment Preparation
    • Support PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) activities where required.
    • Assist with preparation of: Power Generation equipment, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Tower Lights, Materials Handling Equipment (MHE).
    • Ensure equipment is clean, presentable, and ready for delivery or collection.
    • Support basic assembly and preparation activities where required.

    • Previous experience working within a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or operational environment.
    • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Basic IT skills.
    • Physically capable of carrying out warehouse duties.
    • Forklift Truck Licence (Counterbalance and Reach).

    • Experience within power generation, engineering, industrial equipment, plant, or logistics environments.
    • Experience supporting stock control and inventory activities.
