Since its launch in 2018, Gener8 has been at the forefront of the "open data" movement: the belief that people should be able to control and be rewarded from their own data. Gener8's consumer products include iOS and Android apps, a web browser and a browser extension. Our products enable people to transparently share their data with Gener8, whilst preserving their privacy, and to earn rewards in return for doing this. Today we're operating in the UK and USA and will be launching in multiple new countries in early 2026.
On the B2B side, the data products that Gener8 creates enable businesses to make faster, smarter decisions. Our customers include some of the world's largest Big Tech companies, leading AI companies and prominent organisations in finance and ad tech.

- Owning and evolving the engineering org structure, career framework and performance management processes.
- Partnering with the CTO and leadership team on budgeting, headcount planning and long-term technical investments.
On the frontend we're using React, Next.js and TypeScript. On the backend we use Golang to serve RESTful and gRPC APIs running on Kubernetes. Our mobile apps have been built natively from the ground up using Swift and Kotlin. We use GitHub for version control and CI, Jira for tracking tasks and Slack for communication.

- Overseeing and helping define the technical architecture at a strategic level, ensuring alignment with business goals and long‐term platform evolution.
- Providing technical leadership and able to be hands on and in the detail when needed.
- Line management, mentoring and coaching the other engineers.
