Overview As a Therapeutic Area Manager (TAM) at Genentech, you will understand and address healthcare practitioners' needs in a specific therapeutic area, improving patient outcomes and representing Genentech products with integrity. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end experience for assigned customers/accounts, driving clinical and non‑clinical decision making at the point of care and providing education on a range of topics. Serve as primary point of contact for customers, addressing needs and identifying opportunities for ecosystem and therapeutic area strategies at the point of care. Proactively develop solutions for complex accounts within and across ecosystems, including academic, delivery‑network focused, and therapeutic‑area specific accounts. Represent Genentech products ethically and professionally, following guidelines and using approved materials. Ensure product access, provide education on product information and appropriate use, patient assistance and reimbursement resources, triaging to appropriate experts when needed. Contribute to the national strategy by collecting insights and trends at the local level. Collaborate cross‑functionally with partners to support business in the ecosystem. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree level or higher; business, scientific, or clinical background preferred. 6+ years of sales experience with healthcare professionals, ideally representing multiple products across a complex healthcare system. Demonstrated ability to work cross‑functionally with partners to support ecosystem business. Experience with account management and a track record of consistently achieving financial and quantitative targets. Experience launching products is highly desired. Respiratory experience is a plus; flexibility and willingness to learn new disease states. Proficient in addressing operational issues related to product delivery, reimbursement, and supply while maintaining compliance with external laws, codes, and company policies. Location This field‑based role covers Maine, New Hampshire, and Eastern Massachusetts. Candidates residing in the Greater Portland / Bangor area are preferred. Compensation Salary range: $137,500 - $255,300, based on primary location, with incentive compensation as per the applicable plan. Benefits details are available online.
