About Gen3Block: Gen3Block is a Northampton-based AI training and implementation company helping UK SMEs close the AI skills gap. We build production AI systems and train people to use them confidently.
The Opportunity: We are seeking a talented frontend developer to build the user-facing components of our assessment platform. This is part of a grant-funded project through the South Midlands Growth Hub, supporting regional innovation and creating high-quality tools for local businesses.

What You’ll Build:
- Multi-stage assessment interface (15-20 min user flow)
- Interactive results dashboard with data visualization
- Cost projection calculator interface (unique feature - show budget scenarios)
- Technical pathway visualization (current state → recommended solutions)
- Implementation roadmap generator (generates PDF reports)
- Responsive design (mobile, tablet, desktop)
- User account system (save/revisit assessments)
What We’re Looking For:
Required:
- Proven experience with React, Vue.js, or similar modern frameworks
- Strong UI/UX sensibilities - this needs to be intuitive for non-technical SME owners
- Experience with data visualization (Chart.js, D3.js, Recharts, or similar)
- Responsive design expertise (mobile-first approach)
- Git/version control proficiency
- Available for February-March 2026 start
- Registered business or sole trader (we need formal quote/invoice capability)
- Based in Northampton/Northamptonshire or willing to meet in person (preferred for grant requirements)
Nice to Have:
- Portfolio showing similar assessment/survey/dashboard interfaces
- Experience with PDF generation (jsPDF, Puppeteer, or similar)
- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1)
- Previous work with AI/tech sector clients
- VAT registration (but not required)
Project Details:
- Timeline: Quote needed by: January 13, 2026 (for grant application)
- Project start: Late February 2026 (subject to grant approval)
- Completion: End of March / early April 2026
- Payment terms: 50% on start, 50% on completion
