Cubby Construction Limited are looking to recruit a motivated and organised Business Administration Apprentice to join their team in Carlisle for an immediate start! The Contracts Administrator / Receptionist provides high-quality administrative, organisational, and front-of-house support to ensure the smooth running of project activities and office operations. This includes maintaining accurate filing systems, managing travel and accommodation bookings, supporting project resourcing, and delivering a consistent professional reception service. The role also contributes to continuous improvement by supporting quality and efficiency initiatives across the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily project administrative support
- Maintain project filing structures in accordance with company procedures
- Scan, upload, and file returned site paperwork
- Update internal systems and records accurately
- Raise Purchase Orders as required
- Support the wider team with general administrative duties
- Ensure all documentation is completed and stored correctly
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and departments across the business
Skills & Personal Qualities
- Good administration skills with the ability to multi-task
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Good communication and interpersonal skills

Working Hours
Monday – Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
Friday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
Salary £8.00 per hour
Annual Leave 32 days including bank holidays
Future opportunities may be available within the business depending on performance and company requirements. Maths and English GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above are desirable but not essential.
