About the Programme
The Step in2 Apprenticeship Programme is a fully funded, part-time course designed to help you build the basic skills, confidence, and experience employers are looking for to carry into an Apprenticeship or future job. If you still need your Maths and English, you can work towards achieving them too!

The programme typically runs from September 2026 to July 2027.
Location
In-centre learning at our Gen2 Skills Centre in Workington.
What You’ll Learn
- Completing Business and Customer Service units
- Developing your Employability Skills — communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and more
- Working towards Level 2 English and Maths, if not already achieved
Who Can Apply
You can apply if you are:
- Aged 16–18 by September 2026, or
- Aged 19–24 and have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP)
