Monkwray Junior School is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and motivated Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join their team this September!
Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers in delivering planned learning activities and classroom programmes.
- Assist with monitoring, assessing, and recording pupil progress and behaviour.
- Provide feedback and encouragement to pupils to support attainment and confidence.
- Prepare and organise classroom resources and learning materials.
- Promote pupils’ social, emotional, and physical wellbeing.
- Encourage inclusion and independent learning for all pupils.
- Supervise pupils during classroom activities, educational visits, and school events.
- Assist in maintaining a safe, secure, and positive learning environment.
- Support classroom displays and organisation of learning spaces.
- Work collaboratively with staff, parents/carers, and external agencies where appropriate.
- Follow all school policies including safeguarding, confidentiality, health & safety, and child protection procedures.
