As a Teaching Assistant Apprentice you will work alongside experienced staff, supporting pupils in their learning and development, while gaining valuable skills and a recognised qualification. This is a fantastic opportunity to kickstart your career in a friendly and supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in lessons, helping to manage pupil behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Work with small groups or individual pupils, as directed by the teacher, to help them achieve learning goals.
- Assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources.
- Support pupils with additional needs, ensuring they can access learning opportunities.
- Promote inclusion and encourage positive interactions among pupils.
- Help supervise pupils during break times and school activities.
- Participate in training and development activities as part of the apprenticeship.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow school safeguarding policies at all times.
Skills and Knowledge
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
Working hours
Monday - Friday: 9:15am - 3:15pm
Qualifications
Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent) at grade C/4
