We are currently recruiting experienced Care Assistants / Support Workers to support a client recovering from surgery in a private home in Croydon. This role is ideal for compassionate carers who enjoy providing person-centred care and practical support in a home environment. The position is expected to run for 6–8 weeks with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the client with safe mobility around the home
- Preparing healthy meals including protein and vegetable-based dishes
- Encouraging regular meals and hydration
- Housekeeping duties including kitchen cleaning and tidying
- Maintaining a clean and comfortable home environment
- Monitoring wellbeing and reporting any concerns
- Supporting the client’s independence and recovery
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, or Healthcare Assistant
- Right to work in the UK
- Good communication skills
- Compassionate and reliable nature
- Ability to prepare simple healthy meals
Desirable
- Experience supporting clients recovering from surgery
- Care certificate or relevant care training
- DBS or willing to apply for one
