Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 5.00pm

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Sales Estimator to join a well-established supplier within the plumbing, heating and trade merchant sector based in Portadown. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in estimating, technical sales, pricing, quotations, tenders or trade counter/sales support within plumbing, heating, construction supplies, builders merchants or a similar technical environment.

The successful candidate will provide estimating and quotation support to commercial customers, sales teams and suppliers, ensuring accurate pricing, strong customer service and efficient turnaround of tender enquiries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a key point of contact for commercial customers regarding quotations, pricing and tender enquiries
  • Provide estimating and pricing support to the internal sales team and external customers
  • Review customer enquiries and prepare accurate quotations
  • Support with tender submissions, contract pricing and commercial sales opportunities
  • Liaise with suppliers to obtain pricing, product information and contract support
  • Keep up to date with new products, supplier updates and price changes
  • Assist with correct pricing, margin awareness and workload prioritisation
  • Respond to pricing and tender enquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure customers receive a high level of service

Essential Criteria

  • Experience within plumbing, heating, merchanting, construction supplies, technical sales, estimating or a similar industry
  • Strong customer service skills with a professional and helpful approach
  • Good IT skills and confidence using systems, spreadsheets or pricing tools
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple enquiries and prioritise workload effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail when preparing quotations and pricing information

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous experience in a technical sales, estimating, trade counter, sales support or quotations role
  • Knowledge of plumbing and heating products or the merchant industry
  • Experience working with suppliers, tenders or contract pricing
  • Full driving licence
