Technical Operator (Pipe Extrusion) Permanent Mallusk 12-hour week day shifts (rotating days and nights) Average of 44 hours per week Salary: £36,523.79 inclusive of Shift Premium GenTech Recruitment are seeking a Technical Operator for our client based in Mallusk who are a firmly established global business, manufacturing an ever-growing range of plastic and building products.

Due to continuous growth and investment, we are seeking to recruit a Technical Operator(Pipe Extrusion), who will have the opportunity to join an exciting and innovative workplace, working with state-of-the-art machinery and equipment.

Duties: To carry out required tasks and duties on production lines, including ancillary equipment and machinery to ensure that production materials, processes and finished products conform to standards and specifications.

Learn and understand the principles of pipes extrusion and the operation of extrusion machinery.

Assist experienced technical operators in setting up and operating extrusion lines.

Perform quality control checks on raw materials and finished products.

Monitor production processes, identify potential issues, and troubleshoot problems.

Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products.

Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Lean and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Continuously develop technical skills and knowledge related to pipes extrusion.

Essential: Minimum 3 years experience in pipe extrusion or plastic extrusion operations; Knowledge of material properties and extrusion processes.
