F/T permanent Solar Sales Consultant required primarily working in the West & Midland Areas of Ireland. My client is looking for an organised, motivated, and detail-oriented Solar Sales Consultant to join their team. You should be able to prioritise your work and manage time effectively. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can work independently as well as part of a team, whilst focusing on converting sales leads, meeting with prospective customers, and closing deals to achieve sales targets.
Duties will include:
- Customer Engagement and Consultation: Engage with potential customers to understand their energy needs and financial goals. Educate customers on the benefits of solar energy, including cost savings, environmental impact, and energy independence. Conduct initial consultations, either in person or remotely, to assess the customer's property and suitability for solar installation.
- Site Assessment and Analysis: Conduct or coordinate site assessments to determine the feasibility of solar installation. Analyse energy usage, roof condition, shading, and other factors that impact the performance of a solar system. Use solar design software to create custom solar proposals.
- Proposal Development and Presentation: Develop customised solar proposals that meet the customer's energy needs and budget. Present proposals to customers, explaining the technical and financial aspects of the solar system, including expected energy savings, ROI, and financing options. Address any questions or concerns the customer may have regarding the solar installation process.
- Sales and Contract Negotiation: Close sales by guiding customers through the contract signing process. Negotiate terms and conditions to meet both the customer's and company's interests. Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and submitted on time.
- Customer Relationship Management: Maintain ongoing communication with customers throughout the sales process and nurture long-term relationships with customers to encourage referrals and repeat business. Provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and positive reviews.
- Market Awareness and Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and technological advancements in solar energy. Continuously improve product knowledge and sales techniques through training and professional development. Conduct competitor analysis and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Compliance and Ethical Sales Practices: Ensure all sales practices comply with company policies, industry standards (SEAI and Safe Electric etc), and relevant laws and regulations. Maintain high ethical standards in all dealings with customers and colleagues.
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum of 3 years selling in the renewable industry
- Full driving licence
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and IT literate
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Excellent time management skills, self-motivated, and ability to multi-task and prioritise
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
